Titanic's End is, literally, the upturned bow of the Titanic — a mutant vehicle built to look like the sinking ship's stern dragged out into the desert, complete with railings, lifeboat davits, and a sound system mounted along the upper deck. It is one of the most photographed art cars at the burn, and one of the most consistently programmed.
Musically the vehicle lives in the harder, peak-time end of house and techno. Sets recorded from the upper deck have a distinct character — a tighter, more enclosed crowd than an open-stage camp, with the rig firing directly down onto a few hundred dancers packed onto the ship's surface. Recordings preserved here include a number of after-hours takeovers from international touring DJs who took the booking specifically because of the vehicle's reputation.
